New Smoking Addiction Treatment coming to Tameside Hospital

A new smoking addiction treatment, called the CURE project, is coming to Tameside Hospital. The CURE project is a comprehensive secondary care treatment programme for tobacco addiction. At its heart is systematically identifying all active smokers admitted to hospital and immediately offering nicotine replacement therapy and other medicatio

ns, as well as specialist support, for the duration of the admission and after discharge.

· Friday 24 January, in the Hartshead South entrance to the hospital.
