Macmillan Cancer Support, Tameside and Glossop integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust and the local community have worked together to develop the Macmillan Cancer Information and Support Service at Tameside Hospital.
The centre offers a free, confidential drop-in service for anyone effected by cancer.
We offer an information & support service to Macmillans Cancer Support`s Quality in Information and Support Services, (MQUISS) Standards, in an environment which has been awarded Macmillan Cancer Support`s prestigious Quality Environment Mark (MQEM) and the Christie Quality Mark
If you or someone you know has been affected by cancer, we are here to help.

We provide literature & practical support on all aspects of living with cancer including health concerns, emotional issues, managing side effects, financial issues including Travel & Insurance costs, claiming the appropriate benefits, managing your finances, managing debts, employment support (both for employees & employers), & help to access the support available in your area and more.
How we can help
No one should face cancer alone. When you're affected by cancer having the right kind of information and support, at the right time, is essential.
Staffed by Macmillan Cancer information and Support specialists and trained volunteers, we are able to provide:
