The Cancer Care review - be part of the conversation

The Cancer Care Review (CCR) is a key component of the Recovery Package. It is carried out by a GP or Practice Nurse within the first six months after a person's cancer diagnosis. It is an opportunity for the person with cancer to raise any issues relating to their cancer or treatment that are impacting on their quality of life or wellbeing, and together with their GP or Practice Nurse, make a plan to address these issues.

We want to make sure that the way that Cancer Care Reviews are delivered in Tameside and Glossop work for everyone. So join us for our second Twitter Chat On Wednesday 5th December between 8-9pm to discuss how GPs and Practice Nurses can make best use of the CCR to support people affected by Cancer .

Before joining the chat you might want to read these top 10 tips of an effective CCR from Macmillan. It will give you a sense of how a CCR could be structured. Don't worry if you don't get chance to read the article - you don't need to have read it to join in the chat.

This twitter chat is for any person affected by cancer, any professionals working in cancer services, or anyone with an interest in the subject. People affected by cancer can include anyone who has ever had a cancer diagnosis, a friend or family member of a person who has ever had a cancer diagnosis and those who are caring for people with cancer. We are particularly keen to hear from people affected by cancer and professionals working in the Tameside and Glossop area, however we would welcome contributions from anyone regardless of your location.
