The financial cost of cancer
You’re using your credit card knowing full well that you can’t afford the payments at the end of the month. What do you do?' – Terry (pictured), diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma in 2009.
Before his diagnosis, Terry was living comfortably, but due to the financial cost of cancer his finances became a big worry. A reduced income and increased outgoings meant that he dreaded the postman bringing more bills through the door.
Macmillan helped Terry with travel costs and advised about benefits and other support he may be entitled to.
Please let the people you support know that they can access guidance from Macmillan’s financial experts on mortgages, household costs, pensions, financial planning and benefits – things they may not realise they’re entitled to.
