Why Volunteer With Macmillan In Tameside & Glossop?

With more 1286 people diagnosed with cancer last year in Tameside & Glossop and 2.5 million people in the UK living with cancer our challenge is to make sure people are supported through out their journey.
This is why we need people like you to volunteer your time in whatever way you can.

As a volunteer working with our services you will make a meaningful difference to people affected by cancer.

You will receive a Macmillan Volunteer induction, with an opportunity to discuss any needs or concerns

You will have the opportunity to access Macmillan training.

We will provide one to one support from the Macmillan Information team as well as peer support.

It is important to us that your feel supported & valued as a volunteer.

We also work in partnership with Macmillan Solutions, Willow Woods Complementary therapy service at the Tameside Macmillan Unit, Healthy Minds and Tameside Macmillan Welfare Rights Service. We can offer supported volunteer positions with our partners to offer a wide variety of flexible volunteer opportunities
