About the event
When you or someone close to you has been diagnosed with cancer, money might not be one of the first things you think about. But having cancer can be expensive. You may have to pay for a special diet, child care or travel to a hospital. If you are struggling to cope with the financial impact of cancer, remember that there is help available.
The Tameside Macmillan Welfare Rights Service offers a free,
confidential welfare benefits advice service to people living with cancer and their carers. The service is available to all residents who live or receive treatment within the Tameside area. If you are not a resident of Tameside help may be available in your area. We have a Macmillan Welfare rights officer who can provide financial support and advice to residents in Glossop.
Please contact the Macmillan information & Support Service to find support local to you.
This service is appointment based. Please contact the Tameside and Glossop Macmillan information and support if you would like to discuss the help available to you & if appropriate a referral to your Macmillan welfare rights officer.
