Congratulations from the whole team to Michelle Wood our Macmillan information and support assistant who has been awarded the ABC Level 3 certificate in Counselling Skills

Here`s what our lovely Michelle had to say "My Macmillan Information & Support Service role involves providing a lot of emotional and emphatic support to people who may be experiencing complex issues and who may be in a high level of distress. This requires me to communicate sensitively and compassionately to help them explore the issues they are facing, or for me to be a listening ear for them. Having completed my ABC Level 2 Award in Counselling Concepts, along with several communication skills courses a few years ago, I wanted to develop and enhance my skills further and completed my ABC Level 3 Certificate in Counselling Skills course with Macclesfield college. I really enjoyed the course and weekend workshops and throughout the academic year have gained lots more knowledge, skills and experience, which I am already putting into practice. I am extremely pleased and proud to have passed and thank my Macmillan colleagues for their support".
